COLSA Corporation Acquisition Logistician, SME in Dayton, Ohio

General Summary:

The employee will perform various tasks related to the planning, development, implementation and management of a comprehensive, affordable and effective systems support strategy.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in producing or reviewing documents for program office use that support the breadth of acquisition and sustainment logistics efforts.

  • Support the program office during Materiel Solution Analysis, Technology Maturation and Risk Reduction, Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD, Production and Deployment, and Operations and Support phases, to include all milestone activities.

  • Assist with the planning, managing, and coordinating the total cradle-to-grave life cycle logistics support for assigned weapon systems or subsystems, integrating separate functions of supply, maintenance, procurement, and quality assurance into logistics activities required to sustain the system fielding; Assist with monitoring functional and organization compliance with milestones and performance criteria; Assist in the coordination and integration of taskings; Assist in the continuous evaluation of the status and effectiveness of program support in all functional areas to ensure adequate support plans and accurate time phased schedules.

  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of logistics policy and guidance to include Title 10 United States Code Section 2466, Limitations on the Performance of Depot-Level Maintenance of Materiel (as amended by the National Defense Authorization Acts [NDAAs]), and all applicable AF systems; Demonstrate an understanding of the theories and principles of ILS planning, development, and execution sufficient to coordinate and integrate functions into a total, well structured, and viable program.

  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of logistics and maintainability programs to include, but not be limited to, product support Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Cost (RAM-C ) program test and evaluation planning and execution, technical evaluation and identification of weapon systems logistics requirements and resources; Assist in the development of logistics support and maintainability programs or plans as well as systems acquisition requirements analysis; Demonstrate an understanding of budgetary or financial analysis and control and life cycle cost analysis and control.

  • Apply depot maintenance or system sustainment management as well as operational experience to assist the Government with supply chain, equipment specialist management, support equipment, software sustainment/development, and back ship standup management.

  • Apply commercial aircraft and operational knowledge to assist the Government with provisioning and logistics reassignment processes associated with FAA-approved parts and components.

  • Advise and assist the Government with development of interactive electronic technical manuals.

  • Assist in the management, monitoring, evaluation, and coordination of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) implementation.

Required SkillsRequired Experience

One of the following combinations of education/experience:

+ + MA/MS degree, and twelve (12) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) years of which must be in the DoD -OR-

  • BA/BS degree, and fifteen (15) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) of which must be in the DoD -OR-

  • High School Diploma, and twenty (20) years of directly related experience, eight (8) of which must be in the DoD.

  • Tanker or transport aircraft aircrew or ground operations experience.

  • At least three years as a weapon system logistics manager or systems engineer for an ACAT Level I or II program

  • Depot maintenance or system sustainment management experience at a military aircraft sustainment center/logistics complex.

  • Experience with commercial derivative aircraft logistics processes, provisioning, and interactive electronic technical manuals.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal skills to develop and maintain working relationships with the internal and external personnel involved with the project or program

  • Demonstrate proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Skype/Lync), Adobe Acrobat, and applications for access to the world wide web including Microsoft Internet Explorer.

  • U.S. Citizenship required. Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance is required.
